I understand AFFX will announce it's earnings Monday, Oct 18th, before the market opens. Any thoughts on earnings expectations and whether this is true? Anyone?

Also, a company's stock price I've been following here on SI as well as elsewhere moves about like AFFX's.

The market reaction to AFFX's earnings release may give a clue to what this company's earnings will be and how it's market price reacts--at least that's my theory and why I'm here. Enzo Biochem, ENZ, supplies a reagent necessary to AFFX's GeneChip's functioning. This is clearly pointed out in AFFX's October 14th SEC filing. Affymetrix pays Enzo a royalty on the GeneChips they sell that use what ENZ provides. AFFX has a license to use ENZ's patents in producing its GeneChips. It stands to reason, at least to me, that both companies fortunes are tied together going forward based exclusively on the revenues produced from GeneChip sales and continued enthusiastic worldwide acceptance of this technology. I learned of AFFX because of ENZ. Some of you may be unaware of ENZ's relationship to AFFX and their importance in this field, as well. Thoughts and comments? Btw, ENZ will announce it's earnings after AFFX, perhaps as much as two weeks. Then again, I had expected AFFX's earnings to come out at the end of the month but I read Saturday on yahoo that they would be announced Monday.
