dollar and yen etc
the thing I can't make sense of is wage inflation..does anybody else question the hourly wage for instance and the real estate bubble..
is that average american doing that well? (they definitely are doing better than five years ago in terms of employment but I would love
to see a graph measuring increase in wages versus real estate and health costs)
I went to a meeting as I have mentioned in which it was said that the government is paying no attention to affordable housing..rentals in NYC are unaffordable..
even in the less desireable parts of the city, the rents are very high..as the poorer segment gets pushed out further..
one agency head said that the median income for nyc was 25 or 26 k
a year..before taxes and many people were paying over 50 percent of
their income on housing..
now on local news there is a push for higher taxes on cigarettes to help create revenue for more health care coverage for three million
uninsured New Yorkers..or something like that..
