These balance sheet issues, as well as, some other issues concerning their continuing use of "reserves" from the T spinoff four years ago, are precisely what has been weighing on LU stock lately.

Based on the timing of the MCI/WCOM crash and the beginning of LU's stock decline I would think there's more validity to that being the cause than any "continuing use of reserves from T spinoff. . ."
