Have you read anything to indicate a reversal in the upward trend of retail sales?
Thanks,

Eric,

I have not read anything that truly indicates a reversal. Also, the trend in my retail stores is up. I am so region rather than national I doubt one can make much of that. Our increase can be due to a better product mix, metter marketing or poorer performance by nearby competitors.

I know this is a bit off the topic but not a lot. In the Erie market there has been a Super Barnes and Noble Store near a regional shopping mall. This fall Borders build and just opened one of their super stores by this mall one block away from the Barnes and Noble. We know some book buying is taking place online and is increasing whether it is Amazon, Barnesandnoble.com, etc. I am still trying to figure out where the business is going to come from to support all these additional outlets. (I am using books due to simplicity here) Let's say AG is able to slow consumer spending via rate hikes. What happens?

Glenn
