Gottfried,

The si bull/bear ratio was a great indicator and it no longer exists at the same level of input, since it is on the old si. The last time it was valid, it was at a record high bearish sentiment in Sept and we shot to record high index levels within 3 weeks.

From viewing the boards, we seem to be at a very high level of bearish sentiment now. I added Friday and expect to be a net buyer this week. I am VERY concerned about a panic Monday or Tuesday pre and post the cpi, and I am worried the tech market will be hurt badly if the hanging judge rules against MSFT while the market is this week. One thing I know: when I am this scared I need to buy. It will work out over the next 6 months, even if I get hurt the next 2-3.
I can wait out a panic. I agree with the fellow in Bear-ons who is referring to a Y2K "melt-up."
