Thank you very much for your definition of Stagflation. It's very good I just wanted to get an idea exactly what you were talking about. I remember the term "stagflation" used many years ago and gold did well. The way that prices are peeled off the inflation numbers these days I'll be surprised if the government uses the term "stagflation" again or wall street brokerages for that matter since they will want to get to the exit doors first.
If Y2K is a bad as you think, I think, like you, that certain ballooned sectors will deflate. Stocks and real estate for example. Oil would likely see a panic spike into the end of the year. Stagflation, I'm less sure about it than you are...sure would be a good time for the bubble to burst though. I certainly will keep you stagflation scenario in mind though...
