I disagree with you on start investing with a broker then switch to cyber broker... I don't think brokers are any better than average investors. Beginners can start investing on-line with buying blue chips like the stocks like IBM, GM, Coca Cola.... If you invest 10,000 then you pay 2-4% broker fee. Why pay $300 when you can pay only $20? I think dummies should get help from a friend or relatives and go straight to cyber brokers.
