Michael, I don't read the Bible in the closet, but out in the open. And unlike a lot of Christians that I know, I am not afraid to discuss any part of it, such as God ordering masses of people killed, including women and children. I have probably read more than your average Christian, but I am not obsessed with it. Most of them don't have a clue what it really says. All that they know about it is what their preachers want them to know, after they filter out the bad stuff.
