Diamond,
No, I didn't listen to Brinker this weekend. I respect his calls on the overall market (although he missed the dual sharp corrections last August and October). What he does keep reminding people about is that he told them to buy in late October. Doesn't mention the corrections, however. For stocks, he'll rarely recommend any, instead always pushes "the total stock market", like a Wilshire 5000 tracking fund. Innumerable callers ask for an opinion on Microsoft. He's had it at a hold for at least the past four years. OTOH, a couple of his recommended gems have been UTEK and Komag. Re Intel, he's a fair weather friend. He loves them when things are going great, trashes them at times like this. If you paid attention to his stock calls (Cisco he continually calls "richly valued", as he's called Microsoft since I've heard of him) you'd never buy a really great high tech stock. So, for purposes of this, and the Microsoft, and the Cisco threads, he's a No-op.
