Identix Announces TouchPrint 600 Upgrade With Microsoft Windows NT
Improves Overall Function for Criminal, Applicant Identification
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, 1999--Identix Inc. (AMEX:IDX - news), a worldwide leader in providing biometric security and identification solutions, Monday announced the introduction of its TouchPrint(TM) 600 version 5.00 for Microsoft Windows NT application software for the company's criminal and applicant live-scan fingerprint systems, including the company's OEM product to NEC which is marketed under the LS-21 name.
The Windows NT operating system-based version offers more comprehensive third-party developer support and greater harmony with other Identix and partner products. As the market data shows the NT operating system rapidly achieving market dominance in critical systems applications, the new application keeps Identix customers on the leading edge of enterprise solutions for personal identification.
Shipments of the new software are expected to commence in December 1999 and an upgrade path will also be available for existing TouchPrint 600 customers at that time.

Identix will display and demonstrate the Microsoft Windows NT based TouchPrint 600 system at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference in Charlotte, N.C., on Oct. 30, 1999.
