The thread has gone to sleep, much like the stock.

I went back and re-read the third quarter report - revenue and income down, challenging 4th quarter, outlook pretty flat till 1998. Not a very exciting litany.

The issuer bid is for 340-odd thousand shares (5%) but has a time window of April 97 to April 98, and no more than 140,000 shares can be bought in any one month. If I were MSD, I'd save the bulk of the buyback capability for further weakness (maybe for year-end results).

Anyway I don't expect much as a result.
