OT ZOOX

I traded that one a while back, got stopped out. Issues which may differentiate it from BRCD:

-I think they do a lot of business w/DEC (Compaq). Always scary, and some other DEC suppliers have been talking about inventory adjustments, general trouble at a "big customer".

-History of manufacturing problems. They switched contract manufacturers within the last year (or maybe 18 mos?), so the normal glitches associated with getting the new product out the door may be especially intense.

-Obvious product transition from hubs to switches.

BRCD is risky like anything with a lot of enterprise exposure is risky right now, so I'm staying away from that too.

re: your comment about not finding interesting work. Several people I know have suggested that since VCs have more money than they could manage at the old funding levels, they have been pursuing startups aimed at bigger, often more boring, markets which they can fund at much higher levels. Does this jive w/your experience?
