Re the discussion on wireless apps need for memory, from the Q thread, an excerpt from a review of Q's pdQ:

pdQ available in Boston

Finally, the nifty cellphone-plus-Palm Qualcomm pdQ is now available in the Boston area through Sprint PCS. It's quite pricey ($800!) and you pay for data by the minute (but not by the byte, which changes usage patterns a bit from the Palm VII) at roughly normal voice cellular rates. For instance, I signed up for a 300-minute voice+data service at $60/month. In theory, this could translate to 30 megabytes of data or so, but I'm very curious to see how it works out in practice. Interesting app opportunity to suck down a whole web site at once and then browse offline... The per-minute rather than per-byte nature definitely makes serious email usage a lot more palatable.
