HP Introduces New Music Line of HP Pavilion PCs
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, 1999-- Hewlett-Packard Company today announced five new HP Pavilion PCs that feature increased ''music-making'' capabilities.
The new HP Pavilion PCs will include a CD-ROM that features MusicMatch Jukebox software, which allows users to record, organize and play digital music, and 10 free MP3 songs from EMusic.com, a leading seller of downloadable music. They also will include the HP CD-Writer Plus, the worldwide market leader in CD-ReWritable (CD-RW) drives, which allows users to create, write, rewrite, store, manage and share data, music and photos on CD. These expanded music PC capabilities are available on all HP Pavilion 8500 series PCs.

-- The HP Pavilion 8575c PC is powered by an Intel® Pentium® III 550MHz processor and includes 128MB SDRAM, a 20GB Ultra DMA hard-disk drive, an HP CD Writer Plus CD-RW drive, a 6x DVD drive, a 10/100baseT networking card, a V.90 56K modem and HP's one-touch Internet keyboard. The HP Pavilion 8575c PC is expected to sell for an estimated U.S. street price of $1,599.(1)
-- The HP Pavilion 8565c PC is powered by an Intel Pentium III 500MHz processor and includes 128MB SDRAM, a 20GB Ultra DMA hard-disk drive, a 40x CD-ROM drive, an HP CD Writer Plus CD-RW drive, a 10/100baseT networking card, a V.90 56K modem and one-touch multimedia keyboard. The HP Pavilion 8565c PC is expected to sell for an estimated U.S. street price of $1,399.(1)
