Off Topic, kind of. A Top 3 Interstate Carrier has been providing me with a steady stream of fast busies of late on my PCS service. Every day is a new adventure. Fast busies are those annoying, ulcer-inducing sounds that repeat 120 times, or interrupts, per second, as opposed to normal busies which occur at only 60 ips. They could mean just about anything that is wrong, including failed switches, all circuits busy, etc.

Also, they tend to lose my voice mail files with regularity lately. Anyone else enjoying this level of service from in the greater NY Area? In case you are wondering, they came out with what seemed like a good deal a while back, and now they are grossly oversubscribed. Tragedy of the commons? What can we deduce from this where DSLs and Cable Modems are concerned?
