*AV*--The key word is season Bill. We are at the start of the season and is probably one of the reasons that has not be given to us yet, relative to this correction. Somewhere in the middle of October to late October the funds and institutions start playing these games. they extend to mid to end of November. My understanding is that the individuals start in around Thanksgiving and up to the end of the year. The "Big Boys" want to be able to re-enter right after the first of the year. Hence, we usually get a "January Effect" much like this "October Effect."

Taking losses now and not waiting for further losses might seem appropriate. I am going to see if I can squeeze mine in just as earnings season concludes. This year I want to be getting back into stocks at Thanksgiving, just about when the last vestiges of tax loss selling might create some very attractive final bargains.
