1. Word of your move caused Q to rally this afternoon LOL Many investors would be scared to buy a stock that's had such strong appreciation ytd. Would you care to share the key points in your dd that led you to buy Q at these levels? Avunclarly yours, now that i know what the "a" word means..i am OTFL again. good question... i sold a stock today armhy. armhy pe is 350. they have approx 20% of their market and several great recent design wins. their earnings posted today showed approx 45% top-line growth and 75% bottom line. i explained that earlier on the armhy thread.(i had a six month triple in armhy. was not anxious to let it go.) i popped the money into cree with...approx 70% top and bottom line growth and a pe around 85 and a monopoly situation (90+% of the rapidly expanding silicon carbide market). btw cree was down today on 10 blocks of 10k shares sold in about 2 hours at the ask and below...a friend later investigated and learned it was a forced sale...it was a buying opp imo so i did. also bought Q for the monopoly and enormous and fast potential and the low pe of 280 (relative to armhy with only 20% market share and a pe of 350) to be quite frank<gg> i also bought a little bac. based on today's blowout earnings they have a pe around 10 and a 3 1/2% yield...just a little too juicy to pass up for the ira.. in my feeble brain, i judge i bought 2 gorillas and a safety play...that i expect to do well short term anyway. BUT, the main 2 reasons i bought q are... i read this thread. poet is in. uw
