An email I got today from a company called ProxyMate. Dont know if you have heard of them, but look at the improvements they have made to their Internet service, sound familiar......

Dear ProxyMate Customer,

Thank you for your participation in the ProxyMate beta test.

Our mission is to offer a reliable service that enables you to have
privacy while web browsing and convenience while filling out information.
We had some glitches as we have transitioned from the LPWA technical
demonstration to the ProxyMate Beta test. We appreciate your patience and
feedback during this ramp-up phase.

We are happy to announce that we have made some significant strides to
improve the service over the past several weeks. We have implemented a
multi-server hardware architecture to improve the speed and have added a
number of new features:

- Lazy Login: For your convenience, you no longer have to enter your
user name and password every time you launch the browser. You still
have privacy protection and can view the ProxyMate bar without logging
in. However, you do need to log in to modify your default settings or
access personalized services.

- AutoFill: ProxyMate automatically enters your user name, password,
and other personal information on webpages, so you don't have to
remember your various usernames and passwords. AutoFill is extremely
simple to use.

- JavaScript Filtering: ProxyMate requires that JavaScript stay enabled
in your browser, so that the ProxyMate bar can be correctly placed in
the browser window. For added security and privacy, ProxyMate can now
screen out JavaScript programs coming from external websites.

- Privacy On/Off: You now have the ability to control your privacy
settings. When privacy service is turned on, ProxyMate filters
communication to the web sites to protect your identity. When you turn
service off, we let communication flow through the proxy without some
of the filtering.

- Personalization Page: ProxyMate now lets you specify your personal
browsing preferences and change your password and e-mail profile.

These new features are in addition to ProxyMate's earlier features, such
as Alias Generation, Search Bar, and Cool Sites.

We appreciate your continued support. Please feel free to contact us with
any suggestions.

Sincerely,

Robert Lee
CEO, ProxyMate

P.S. We would greatly appreciate your filling out our quick User Survey,
at bin.proxymate.com -- your feedback will help us continue to
improve ProxyMate and to give you better service.
