Actually Toy, our disagreement had to do w/ MSFT stock price prospects, not so much about MSFT business (where I agree with you to *some* degree - and strongly differ on others, after all, I'm a MSFT bull<g>).
Be that as it may, I have had an interest in NOVL for a long time, albeit a trading interest. Frankly, I have always been too dissatisfied with NOVL management to become an *investor*. Another case of great technology/lousy management. It seemed to me, that NOVL could never somehow translate their tech into market domination. What a contrast with MSFT - good tech/bad marketing vs mediocre tech/genius marketing. So, trade NOVL, but invest MSFT was my choice.
But perhaps I don't appreciate the fine points of NOVL - I freely admit that my knowledge of NOVL is superficial at best.
As to the trading - what if there is significant earnings shortfall? Could that be a cause of the current malaise?
What about product acceptence? Developer support? Are we absolutely sure that we understand *exactly* what was behind the recent management turmoil? Perhaps those that left, not only left for "greener pastures", but because they didn't think NOVL could be as dynamic as necessary, and it was time to look elsewhere?
Ultimately, I don't know, but agree w/ your take on the possibilities.
