Blunderbusted. That's a good one. I haven't heard the word Vibram for years. They were certainly peer pressure for a while.
"Peer Beer." "Sold on Campus."
I would like to go somewhere lazy, like Honauma, with everyone on the thread, get some sand chairs, and giggle weightlessly.
It's neat when the waves come up between your toes. Around your ankles.....
I would like to be a Travel Writer, I guess.
Except you have to travel.
I'm too lazy, maybe, or busy, for that. I would just like to sit in a spot. Move to a nice place. Maybe I could be a Move Writer. Like a "one hit" travel writer. Write one really good travel article, about one really good place, and then retire. There.
Just get a one way ticket, on the Oregonian.
Mark Twain hung out at Honauma.
I could put that in the article! I could name a papaya tree after him. "This is the Mark Twain Papaya Tree." (There's our photo!)
I don't think there is a tree named after him there. Which is strange. Or maybe the local brainiacs named a papaya after him. They only live ten or twenty years. (No one in Oregon knows that though. I'm a thinker.)
Okay, how about naming a dolphin after him? I don't think anyone has ever had a dolphin named after them, Mr Flipper. I could just point to the ocean, for the photograph. "The famous Mark Twain Dolphin."
Doesn't everyone realize travel writers make everything up anyway?
We could do it. |
