Charley--I am hardly ritualistic or liberal. Richard Nixon was one of the great acheivers of our recent presidents. He had some fabulous successes as a president. Also one of the most interesting people of the century as his own character flaws brought him down. I also admire Gerald Ford and Margret Thatcher. But Reagan, he was glitz and Hollywood, the substance underneath was knee jerk anticommunist, exploitation of our natural resources (no point in letting our children get them I guess,), huge deficits, and tax breaks for the wealthy.
