Alex, be a Prince and comment on these I hear it thru the grapevines.

... henceforth in Japan, gold held in estates will no longer be taxable?

What an inducement this is for a high-saving Japanese public to stash away
a few gold coins. Imagine 90 million Japanese buying a couple ounces each.

A handsome prospect for our Japanese brethren to contemplate.

Some GATA supporters attended the World Gold Council's bash for a new
campaign to promote the Krugerrand. One was with a Reuters reporter who
walked up to a Goldman Sachs man and asked how all was going with J Aron?
The GS man retorted with a scowl, "oh, we are just one big happy family."
Then, he heeled around and rudely walked away. The reporter was a bit stunned.
The body language indicated of the GS man indicated great strain.

...have been watching the tape tick by tick for the last hour and there
appears to be heavy-duty futures buying just below 10,000 on the Dow.
Every time the market gets to about 9992 or so there is a VERY LARGE player
coming into the futures. All the while the techs continu
e to melt down.
I know that this sounds like a bear clich‚, but there appears to be serious
manipulation going on today in keeping the Dow above 10,000. Thoughts? "

thanks, and a question << Goldman Sachs ... J Aron >>
who is the J Aron and why his reaction noted above ?
