I think Ashanti runs the risk of being broken up into pieces one major buys this and another buys that. Just an opinion Barrick would surely love to buy the ashanti properites JV'd with Pangea- reinforcing its hold 'on to' Pangea. All they have to do later is buy MDN-M (tulawaka) -or for that matter the rest of Pangea too!! Its also possible that Pangea gets back its ashanti JV'd properites as Terry suggests- but I think Barrick will do all it can to get its hands on them- JMHO rgds
