Brightpoint Signs Agreement to Provide Integrated Logistics Services in Puerto Rico
INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1999--Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL - news) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with MoviStar to provide integrated logistics services in Puerto Rico. MoviStar is the brand name used internationally by Telefonica (NYSE:TLF - news) for personal communication services (PCS), which it provides in several countries.
Brightpoint has commenced operations in Puerto Rico and, pursuant to the agreement, will be the exclusive supplier of accessories to MoviStar and its Direct Channels and the preferred supplier of accessories to MoviStar's Indirect Channels. Brightpoint will also be the exclusive supplier of prepaid calling cards to MoviStar and its Direct and Indirect Channels. In addition, Brightpoint will be the exclusive provider of integrated logistics services, such as warehousing, fulfillment, inventory purchasing, delivery, packaging and kitting services.
