QTEK today announced receipt of a film based conversion contract from Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE), a leading utility provider in central Maryland. The contract calls for conversion of 30,000 digital files into aperture card media in order to assure the long-term survival of crucial engineering information. The conversion effort is expected to start in early November and finish by year end. BGE is the nation's first gas utility and one of the earliest electric utilities, with a tradition of superior, low-cost service, and reliability. With assets of over $7 billion and nearly 6500 employees, BGE has been meeting the energy needs of Baltimore and surrounding counties for over 180 years.
Quintek supplies chemical-free equipment, software, media, and services for converting digital information into archival media for off-site backup and long-term storage.
