It is difficult to put a $ figure on damages. The servers being down, the 45 minute waits on hold, the MASSIVE delays in getting confirmation of trades, are all things that I experienced and definitely had an effect on minimizing my gains and sometimes causing me substantial losses. I still have my etrade accounts, but only for stocks that do not need a timely execution or confirmation on buy or sell. Perhaps you have a suggestion on how we could quantify our losses? Thanks.
