Re Sculley and Theater--With Pepsi all he had to sell was a product that was virtually indistinguishable from Coke. With Apple, he didn't get that you had to create the special product; people don't buy PC's on impulse--they actually think about it.

CF buyers are first the manufacturers of the products into which they are designed. And second the buyers of those rather expensive products. Marketing of these products is a lot more subtle than "Pepsi Generation"
