Winfire Signs Content and Distribution Agreements with HEAT.NET and Go2Net for Winfire's Personalized Browser Assistant

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Oct 19, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

-Latest agreements brings number of partnerships to over 85,
with less than two weeks remaining before public launch on Nov. 1-

Winfire, developers of the personalized Browser Assistant(TM), a
lightweight desktop application that works in conjunction with a user's
Web browser, today announced it continues to strengthen its base of
content and distribution partners with the signing of 50 new companies,
including HEAT.NET(TM) and Go2Net (Nasdaq: GNET).

These new agreements bring the total number of companies that Winfire
has signed as content or distribution partners to more than 85, as the
company prepares for its official launch on Nov. 1. Winfire has
previously announced partnerships with powerful online brands including
CNET; iVllage.com (Nasdaq: IVIL): The Women's Network; The Weather
Channel(R) Web site, weather.com and The Motley Fool.

HEAT.NET, the online, multi-player gaming service run by SegaSoft
Networks, Inc., will become a Winfire distribution partner. Go2Net will
provide access to its popular network of branded, technology-and
community-driven sites focused on the categories of personal finance,
search and directory, commerce and business services, and games.
