Texas Instruments sees no signs of Y2K stockpiling

DALLAS, Oct 19 (Reuters) - Texas Instruments Inc. (NYSE:TX - news), the world's leading maker of computer chips for mobile phones, said Tuesday it sees no signs that its industrial customers are stockpiling components in case of Y2K computer glitches in the supply chain.

``We don't see any indications of our customers stockpiling product. What we believe is occurring in our markets, in telecommunications and so on, is genuine end-user demand driving our own customers' demand,' chief financial officer Bill Aylesworth told Reuters.
