Peter, on VUL, I agree on the (lack of) value of the businesses but did not ignore the $5M superfund risk. I seem to recall that the reference to "joint and several" means the guy with the money pays? But even with that and taking out taxes on gains, the valuation plus buybacks make it a good deal versus an index fund.

My issue is more whether that is a stock we should be looking at in a weak market, as others may get relatively much more inefficiently priced.
