Intel

As a long time Intel shareholder and one who truely admires all they have accomplished to date, i must say that it is a bit embarrassing that Intel, with it's limitless dollars and resources, cannot completely wipe cyrix off the map. I don't really worry much about cyrix ever dominating Intel, but why is it that the question of this even happening is even out there?? How did cyrix get to be so "close" to Intel in chip design as to even be considered a competitor?? Maybe Intel keeps them around for anti-trust purposes, but c'mon. Intel owns 90% of an extremely lucrative market that has many barriers to entry. If the government wanted to break them up, they would have done it already. I just cannot come up with any reasons on why cyrix is still breathing. Competition is good, but even with cyrix out of the picture, Intel would still have lots of competition. Could it be that Intel isn't up to the challenge??? As i say, quite embarrassing for Intel. Of course, this is just one mans opinion who has nothing better to whine about right now with this company.

Thanks in advance.
