To All:

It is not going to be easy to quantify our losses, however, the following example may help. I will post several discrepanices that I have had as this thread progresses.

personal experience #1:

On Tuesday May 28th 1996 at 8:31 Central time I placed a market order sell for 200 shares of ANCR. I received an execution notice about 2 hours later for a sale of 200 shares of ANCR at 22 1/8. I went to our bloomberg and pulled up all of the trades for ANCR and noticed that ANCR NEVER traded as low as 22 1/8 until around 8:43 which was approximatly 12 full minutes after I placed my market sell order. My loss was between $150 and $250 for this transaction.

If I can be of any help in researching prices on particular trades that you have in question please post your requests.
