Brad, those 99.5 trades were most likely MM to MM trades. Like I said yesterday, it's not unusual for a MM to trade stock that is not available to add liquidity. then they cover at a later time when it's favorable to them. Most likely nobody was on the other end of those trades. the fraction affords the MM not to hit the bid or offer, which was probably a 1.00. Interestingly if you notice the offer is at 1 1/32 for a while even though bid at 7/8. Most likely this means MM's do not have a inventory of shares to sell. They would have to offer 2500 at a buck and seem reluctant Wouldn't be surprised to see a 1.01 offer allowing them to sell and not get committed to 2500 rather only 500.
By the way, this is not a MM bashing or blaming. Everyday occurances.
