I hate to say this, but I'm retired and have been collecting Social Security for a little over two years. Since the middle of July, I have lost more on paper than I paid into Social Security in my entire working life...and that goes back to 1953 when I paid my first payroll tax while I was working for a hardware store just out of high school. At the moment nobody is talking about privatizing things..now are they.
