I'm not so sure (although I do now own a gold miner, who is partially hedged with low production cost). Just as the bond has been a victim of the response of the Fed to the LTCM bailout, so might gold be a victim to any GS (and others) bailout of their hypothetical short gold position.

I see lots of cross currents in the Market, so I'm writing calls (slightly OTM) on stocks which I think have put in bottoming patterns.
