Hardly.

I know I'm supposed to agree with everything, but I don't agree with that particular hyperbole.

w2k might well be a big smash for M$FT. Then again, I can imagine a time 12 months from now where both Merced and W2K have flopped in their market debuts on serious servers (desktops I'm sure W2K will do fine), and enterprise DP managers have "capitulated", as they say, and realized that they need a genuine alternative.

No slam dunk. But far from impossible. w2k conquering the world is less likely, IMHO.
