JLA, in the midst of a family crisis, I am grabbing a precious moment to respond. Every living being is a prism, multifaceted; this is what makes us interesting. If it were true that "What you see is what you get," we should all be very boring in a very short space of time. Dear friend, I am not "plain wrong"--I see other sides of the prism and look at each person in his or her deep complexity, which may be why I seem so tolerant. Even when I disagree violently with a person's postings, I try to keep in mind that there is a real person at the other keyboard with a life and problems that I might not have had to face and opinions formed by such experiences. It is within this kind of understanding that Michelle and I are friends. We understand each other as people and reach out as people with an open heart, despite our disagreements, passionate as they are. I hope that I am not betraying a confidence when I share with the thread how supportive and helpful she has been during the last few stressful months. She can be difficult and controversial, but she is also a warm and caring person--different sides of the prism. Of course, I accord your opinion respect. How could you even question it?
