LU and WCOM are good examples of the difference between a great company and a great stock. Unfortunately, I held both for the year before selling them off this month. Even on a day when several analysts issued "buy" ratings on LU, it still managed to lose money today. A blue-chip tech stock that can't gain a few points after positive analysts upgrades on a neutral day should tell you something . Both LU and WCOM are lagging the NASDAQ index. Great companies, but poor stocks to own.
