DrSak,
PAIR is one of the DSL equipment companies I have on my watch list. I'm not quite sure what to make of them but they sure intrigue me.

Recently Adtran has been taking a lot of the HDSL business from them. But I guess ADTN's HDSL products are hot, so maybe that shouldn't be held against PAIR. I understand others have been losing to Adtran too, not just PAIR.

I can't find much info on their relationship to ILECs. Can you point me to any links showing any ILEC contracts and/or connections? I'm just not that excited about their CLEC announcements. But I would be if there was an ILEC connection.

And what do you make of the Avidia product? It's kind of confusing to me. Can it really be all the things it's supposed to be? I guess it's real claim to fame is when it poses as a DSLAM. I'm not technically savvy enough to figure out if it's possible to be all the things it claims to be. But a DSLAM is a mandatory piece of equipment in a DSL rollout. The rest of Avidia's uses, confuse me.

From what I recall, Avidia is supposed to start shipping right about now. Is that why you think the timing is right? If they are losing HDSL business to ADTN, they sure need something to pick up sales. Appears they are banking on Avidia as a DSLAM to do just that. Sort of like AFCI bets on their NGDLC product.

And most important, what did they say in their Q3 conference call. I screwed up and missed it. If you have a replay url, I sure would like to listen.

I am very curious as to why the day after the Q3 release (the one they warned about missing estimates pretty badly), BancBoston Robertson Stephens raises them to a buy rating. Kind of makes you wonder if they know something we don't?
