I thought the Village Voice report at the very end of that was interesting, in that it questioned the amount of dioxin which used to be considered harmless may actually not be, that it might be enough to cause irregularities. It;'s unfortunate that there IS some truth in these e-mails-- enough to make you a little nervous about what you're putting in your body.

This reminds me of the apple scare years ago, when Meryl Streep looked into my eyes (well- she was on TV, but she's soooo sincere)and told me that I was killing my babies with apple juice that contained a pesticide. I wrote a check immediately so she could save the world from the evil alar apple assasins.
It almost destroyed the apple industry.
Then I felt terrible. My husband said, "You sent them money??"

"Well, no, I sent my good friend, Meryl, money."

By the way--- did anyone else notice that the name of
The Tampon Health Website, an information clearinghouse- is
(I'm trying not to giggle here)
