To all:

If you remember when Bob Frankenberg (sp?) came aboard, it took
considerable time for him to determine the "internal state of
affairs", the makeup of his "direct reports", etc., etc.

Novell is indeed a "large ship" with considerable inertia in light
of the fact that two major sites exist: Utah and San Jose and
that the fact that there are so many products, employees, groups,
departments, etc., etc.

I am fairly certain that Dr. Schmidt is aware of the urgency of the
situation but I do admire his willingness not to "fire" prematurely.

After all this is his first stint as a CEO. Please give him a
little time to get the "lay of the land".
