Some interesting derived statistics from the press release.

In the 3rd Qtr. Net Sales increased by $87 million over the previous year. Of this increase, $36 million was attributable to increased purchases by AT&T BIS (formerly TCI).

Also in the latest quarter, AT&T's purchases accounted for 44.3% of total sales compared to 45.7% in the previous year.

Bookings during the Qtr. (in millions):

1st Qtr. $169
2nd Qtr. $227
3rd Qtr. $239

Backlog @ end of each Qtr. (in millions):

1st Qtr. $63
2nd Qtr. $96
3rd Qtr. $102

A comparison of 2nd Qtr. to 3rd Qtr. Backlog does not seem to indicate that there was any recent, material increase in parts shortages or labor shortages in the current quarter.

Obviously AT&T is still in the drivers seat. How come the other cable entities aren't getting into the internet telephony act? Bottom line is that a lot of the secondary cable companies are still apparently slow to upgrade their networks to the bleeding edge.

Thanks for the conference call number.
