Hi Skip. did you research the Vulgate yet.??? We agree on alot . no christian can interpret the bible perfect. Still looking for all those bad things about Jesus. what did He say that was all that bad.?? If you could live your life with Him teaching you .. what bad deal would you get. Would He have you robbing banks?? ...lying ...stealing...killing the poor..what.??? I'm just interested. What's wrong with his two commandemens "love the Lord thy God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself" Why would the world go to pot if eveybody did this. The rest of the stuff is just there so people can debate<g> The interesting thing is that the Apostles could not understand most of the stuff Jesus said while He was alive. It was in their head not their hearts. They were in fear constantly even after His death. Until the Acts chapter 2 scene. But, the myth that they hid the body just doesn't hold water. Even more doubting Thomas preach thegosple boldly after Jesus's death. In fact Thomas could have lived but he was flayed alive in India becuasehe would deny that the Lord resurrected and that Jesus was the Messiah. you would think that after they made their first cut on his strapped down body that he would have confessed. He would have said. "WE HID THE BODY DON'T CUT ANY MORE..I'LL LEAVE..STOP.. STOP". He didn't do that.. he took death rather than to even lie about Jesus. remember this is doubting Thomas. If they hid the body noe of the Apostle could die to protect that lie. In fact all the Apostles except John died horribles deaths and never said "we hid the body..Jesus didn't resurrect". Now John didn't get off easy. They tried to kill him ...boiled in oil. He wouldn't die so they blinded him and put him on an Island of Patmos..where he wrote Revelations. I would think that if they hid the body....one of these guys would have cracked rather than die the horrible deaths that they did. The odds are astronomincal that all 11 Apostels and then Pual that's twelve would take the kind of torture and death they did ..FOR A LIE. maybe 7 of 12 but not 12 of 12. Even in the cult type suicides it's not 100% there is strong and convincing evidence that many in the cult suicides were murders when they resisted and didn't want to die for a lie.
