it was suggested that for little incremental cost the existing architecture can support a 40% penetration rate. I was quite surprised (and pleased) to hear that. In essence he said that splitting the node was not any big deal as long as they ran enough dark fibers out to the node to begin with. The MSO's have been expecting all along to need to split the nodes. Eric
