Generally, a VLIW processor such as the TriMedia would be more expensive than the RISC processors used in the CUBE chips. The flexibility and programmability will depend in part on the instruction set chosen for for the TriMedia processor. The cost will depend on a lot of factors. I, too, am interested in the cost of this chip. Anybody know?
