Thanks Dan. When I talked to them yesterday they seemed very different from most brokerages. The overall tone seemed very helpful... the guy I talked to (Darrell) was quick to give me information that most brokerages hide like it is "national security". For example, he freely told me they were pretty new, had between 1500 and 2000 clients (try to get that one out of any broker). The only negative I had after interviewing them for half an hour is that they don't do options yet. They are approved with the SEC and the exchanges but are waiting on finalization of their software before rolling out options. They were very specific about server outages and hardware-- they've been down 3 times and the longest outage was 20 minutes or so. They have NT servers (I was hoping for Lynux) and use three different ISP's. Good redundancy. All of their sales staff as well as the trading desk are series 7 brokers. When they have an outage the plan is for the place to become a call center for taking trades. Seemed "honest" (which is not generally the feel I get from talking to brokerages). Thanks again for the article. Matt
