Gerald, I don't think anyone is arguing that Dr Schmidt should be given a "little" time before laying out a detailed plan of attack. But, his arrival should have been announced and comments should have been made, and were obviously expected, to maintain the momentum generated at brainshare. The lack of any kind of comments what so ever is inexcusable and VERY typical of Novell management.

Everyone is wondering about Novell again. I believe there were high expectations for last Monday amongst investors and analysts. What a let down. Now everyone is shaking their head, as it appears we hired someone who fits right in with Novell's unique way of running their business.

Your efforts in battling this are admirable, but I believe the CEO situation to date is quickly undoing any gains from Brainshare, and the stock price is reflecting it. Every day with not word, we slip a little further. Will we hit a new low while we're waiting.

I think the first thing I might have done, as Salah pointed out upthread, was issue some aggressive press releases regarding the NT and Active-X security flaws. You would think that played right, Novell could bring NT sales nearly to a halt. Why would any business in their right mind get involved with a system with such major security flaws...and from what I understand flaws that will be very difficult to correct. Next version of NT maybe, or the version after that.

BTW, thanks for the joke you sent me the other day.
