greg, the reason phcm will fall is that other software companies will get into the fray, though they may use their market valuation to buy others, once the gate is open the positioning may be tenuous
don't worry about the software, imho the next generation IPO's are the 'tool' plays that are related to 'java', VoXML, etc... this allows implementing wireless customers to do their own modification if necessary, not many will learn hdml
portals will come about after the application density occurs there has to be enough volume to add in a billed advertisement piece
browsing is out, custom frontend apps with voice integration (headset) is in, imho
i have my eye on one company right now that has the technology to actually let the USER create their 'own' application based on current business rules dealing with 'data', 'access' and 'display'
a little patternal, but what the heck :)
my best suggestion is keep an eye out for NOK MOT and SYMBIAN partners if you see anything and need feedback, send me a note regards, ynot ;) |
