Microsoft announced the new program yesterday at its Embedded Partner Summit in Seattle.
The Jeode platform is Insignia's faster implementation of Sun's EmbeddedJava(TM) and PersonalJava(TM) specifications that is specifically designed for embedded devices. It is also the first independently-developed implementation to pass Sun's EmbeddedJava technology and PersonalJava platform compatibility tests to earn the distinction of ''Sun Authorized Virtual Machine.''
