BOMBARDIER SIGNS FOLLOW-ON ORDER FOR THREE CRJ200 JETS
WITH ATLANTIC COAST AIRLINES

OCTOBER 20, 1999
TORONTO, ONTARIO--Bombardier Aerospace has signed a contract with
Dulles, Virginia-based Atlantic Coast Airlines Holdings, Inc.
(ACAI) for three additional CRJ200* regional jets valued at
approximately US $65 million (Cdn $97 million).
Atlantic Coast's latest CRJ aircraft bring the airline's
commitments to 66 firm orders for the type including 26 orders
placed during this calendar year. The company has taken delivery
of 21 50-seat CRJ regional jets from Bombardier.
"Since Atlantic Coast announced its first purchase of CRJ aircraft
in January 1997, it has continually increased its fleet commitment
to the product and is positioned to become the second largest
operator of the aircraft type in the world," said Steven A.
Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Aerospace, Regional Aircraft. "We
are very proud of the role the CRJ continues to play in the
growing success of Atlantic Coast's business," he said.
Bombardier Aerospace, a unit of Bombardier Inc., is the world's
third largest civil aircraft manufacturer with operations in three
countries. Leading the 20- to 70-passenger regional carrier
market, Bombardier Aerospace offers complete families of turboprop
and regional jet aircraft. It has the industry's widest range of
business jets, offering both full and fractional ownership, and
also produces firefighting/maritime mission aircraft. It provides
technical services, aircraft maintenance and pilot training to
business, regional airline and military customers.
Bombardier Inc. is a Canadian corporation active in the fields of
aerospace, rail transportation equipment, recreational products,
financial services and services related to its products and core
businesses. It operates plants in 12 countries in North America,
Europe and Asia, and more than 90 per cent of its revenues are
generated outside Canada. Bombardier's revenues for its fiscal
year ended January 31, 1999, totalled Cdn $11.5 billion.
